UVC Germicidal Radiation Meter
Keywords: UVC light meter, 254nm UV meter, UVC irradiance meter, germicidal UV monitor, UVC intensity tester
Narrow-band 254nm UVC radiometer for verifying germicidal lamp output and disinfection dose.
The UVC254E is a dedicated narrow-band UVC radiometer engineered to measure the 254nm germicidal wavelength emitted by UVC disinfection lamps. With a tight spectral window of 248–262nm (254nm peak) and a measuring range up to 39.99 mW/cm², it lets installers, facility managers and equipment makers confirm lamp intensity, estimate accumulated disinfection dose, and verify that installed UVC systems still deliver effective sterilizing radiation.
Its compact handheld body, single-button operation and clear digital readout make routine lamp inspection fast and repeatable, while the sub-0.1% stray-light rejection keeps readings trustworthy even around strong visible or broadband sources.
1. Narrow-band 254nm detection — spectral coverage 248–262nm centered on the 254nm germicidal peak for true UVC-only readings.
2. Wide irradiance range — spans 1 µW/cm² to 39.99 mW/cm², suitable for both low-dose surface checks and high-power lamp verification.
3. High stray-light rejection — parasitic light beyond the UV band is below 0.1%, so visible or broadband light will not corrupt the UVC value.
4. ±8% measurement accuracy — reliable enough for lamp commissioning, acceptance testing and periodic re-certification.
5. Portable and simple — handheld body with a 3× CR2450 lithium battery supply and 2 readings per second for quick on-site inspection.
1. Power on — insert the 3× CR2450 batteries and press the power button; the unit self-checks and is ready in seconds.
2. Position the sensor — aim the detector at the UVC lamp at the distance and angle specified by the lamp manufacturer.
3. Read the value — the screen shows the live UVC irradiance; the meter samples twice per second for a stable reading.
4. Check overload — if the input exceeds range the display shows "OL"; move farther from the source or shield the sensor.
