AMT158 is a genuinely portable water activity meter: light enough to carry anywhere, precise to 0.02 aw, and ready to measure in five minutes. Sensor and readout are integrated in one body, so there is nothing to assemble — load the sample and both water activity and sample temperature appear together on the display.

The display can be switched between °C and °F, and an automatic backlight controlled by the light sensor under the power button keeps readings legible in dim storage rooms. The instrument powers down automatically after 30 minutes without operation to protect the batteries. Software and cable are supplied, so readings can be transferred to a PC for record keeping and trend analysis.
