The SM208 Screen Luminance Meter is a dedicated instrument for measuring the luminance of fluorescent screens, CRT displays, monochrome and color transmission screens, LCD backlights, mobile color LCDs, computer and TV screens, and security indication screens. It is also widely used in medical X-ray, electroluminescence, and other photometric fields.
Built around a high-stability silicon photocell detector with rigorous visual correction, the SM208 delivers accurate, reproducible luminance readings in a compact, battery-powered handheld design.

1. Power on — press "POWER" to turn the meter on; it enters measurement mode.
2. Aim the probe — align the photometric probe with the screen to be measured.
3. Adjust range — if "OL" shows, press "RANGE" to switch to a higher range; if the reading is too small or "0", press "RANGE" to lower it.
4. Hold reading — press "HOLD" to freeze the current value; press again to return to live measurement.
5. Peak value — press "PEAK" to display only the maximum value encountered since activation.
