CM-8856FN Coating Thickness Gauge | Separate F/N Probes

Product Description

SEPARATE F/NF COATING THICKNESS GAUGE

CM-8856FN Coating Thickness Gauge

CM-8856FN Coating Thickness Gauge with Separate F and NF Probes

The CM-8856FN coating thickness gauge uses separate F and NF probes to measure non-magnetic coatings on magnetic metal substrates and non-conductive coatings on non-magnetic metals. This coating thickness meter uses magnetic induction and eddy current measurement principles, with automatic substrate recognition to streamline inspections.

As a separate-probe coating thickness gauge, the CM-8856FN can reach measurement points that are difficult to access with an integrated sensor.

Key Features

Measurement Principles and Applications

F mode — Magnetic induction. Measures non-magnetic coatings on magnetic (ferrous) substrates. Typical examples include paint, lacquer, galvanizing, and porcelain enamel on iron or steel.

N mode — Eddy current. Measures non-conductive coatings on non-magnetic metal substrates. Typical examples include paint, varnish, anodizing, enamel, plastic, and powder coatings on aluminum, brass, or non-magnetic stainless steel.

Use the CM-8856FN paint thickness meter for coating inspections in manufacturing, metalworking, maintenance, and quality control. It supports routine checks on iron, steel, aluminum, brass, and non-magnetic stainless steel.

Designed for Difficult Measurement Points

With separate probes on coiled cables, the CM-8856FN reaches recessed areas, curved surfaces, and parts that cannot be positioned under an integrated sensor. Continuous mode is useful for checking curved or small objects; the buzzer is disabled in continuous mode.
