AMF029A Hot Wire Anemometer

Keywords: AMF029A anemometer, hot wire anemometer, air velocity meter, wind speed meter, HVAC airflow meter

Professional hot wire anemometer for wind velocity, air temperature, and volumetric flow (CFM/CMM) with multi-unit display, data logging, and Beaufort scale.

The AMF029A Hot Wire Anemometer is a professional instrument for measuring wind speed and air temperature across engineering, quality-control, and environmental-health scenarios. It reads wind velocity, air temperature, and volumetric flow, and supports max / min / average / current selection for both velocity and flow as well as the 2/3 maximum flow value.

With switchable velocity units (m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots, mph), ℃ / ℉ temperature switching, data hold / record / read / delete functions, real-time USB measurement with PC software, and a backlit LCD, the AMF029A is built for HVAC commissioning, duct airflow checks, and field air-movement surveys.

Key Features

1.  Multi-Parameter Measurement — measures wind velocity, air temperature, and volumetric flow (CFM / CMM) in one handheld unit.

2.  Flexible Readout Selection — max / min / average / current for both velocity and flow, plus the 2/3 maximum flow value.

3.  Multi-Unit Velocity — switch among m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots, and mph.

4.  Temperature Unit Switch — toggle between ℃ and ℉ with 0.1°C / 0.18°F resolution.

5.  Data Hold / Record / Read / Delete — store and manage measurement sets directly on the device.

6.  Real-Time USB Measurement — connect to a computer with the included software for live logging.

7.  Beaufort Scale & Wind Chill Alert — reference wind-force grade and cold-stress warning.

8.  LCD Backlight & Auto Power — backlit display with manual / automatic shut-off.

9.  Retractable Drag Rod & Low-Battery Indication — easy duct access and clear power warning.

How to Use

1.  Preparation — insert the lithium battery into the battery door and plug the connecting wire into the socket on top of the main unit.

2.  Power On — press the Power / Backlight button; the full screen displays for 2 seconds, then enters wind-velocity mode with temperature and velocity readings on the LCD.

3.  Select Units & Mode — choose velocity / flow, the velocity unit (m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots, mph), and max / min / average / 2/3-max as needed; switch ℃ / ℉ for temperature.

4.  Measure & Record — aim the probe, read live values, use Data Hold or Record to capture, then review via Data Read or export through USB.
