Handheld Gauss / Tesla Meter
Keywords: digital gauss meter, handheld gaussmeter, magnetic field tester, tesla meter, DC flux density meter
Entry-level portable Gauss meter for DC magnetic field measurement in field and lab environments.
Model TES10A is the first hand-held type Gauss meter in the TES10 series, specially designed for on-site magnetic field measurement. Its concept of lightness, practicality and portability was set from the beginning of design, and the unique micro power-consumption circuit gives the instrument a battery life of more than 50 hours of continuous use.
TES10A measures 0~200 mT / 0~2000 mT DC magnetic flux density with 0.1 mT resolution. A 3.5 digit LCD display shows the measured value directly in mT, and the built-in polarity judgment function tells you the N/S orientation at a glance. The instrument supports both transverse and axial Hall probes, making it suitable for surface magnetic field inspection of small gaps, magnet assemblies and production-line quality control.
TES10 Series Model Comparison
| Model | Magnetic Field | Display Unit | Resolution | Accuracy |
| TES10A | DC only | mT only | 0.1 mT, 1 mT | ±2% / ±5% |
| TES10B | DC only | mT + Gs | 0.01 mT, 0.1 mT | ±1% / ±2% |
| TES10C | DC + AC | mT + Gs | 0.01 mT, 0.1 mT | ±1% / ±2% |
1. Portable and lightweight — Small volume and light weight make it easy to carry to any measurement site.
2. Long battery life — Micro power-consumption design supports more than 50 hours of continuous use on 4 × AA batteries.
3. Wide measuring range — Measure 0~200 mT and 0~2000 mT DC magnetic field with one instrument.
4. Clear digital display — 3.5 digit LCD shows readings directly in mT with fast refresh.
5. Polarity judgment — Positive and negative signs on the display indicate N/S pole orientation.
6. Interchangeable probes — Supports transverse probe and axial probe for different measurement positions.
7. Easy calibration — Calibrate against a standard magnetic field after replacing the Hall probe with a small screwdriver.
8. Flexible power — Runs on 4 × AA batteries or an external 6V DC adapter.
1. Connect probe — Plug the selected transverse or axial Hall probe into the instrument socket.
2. Power on — Press the POWER switch; the LCD display lights up when energized.
3. Select range — Choose the 0~200 mT or 0~2000 mT range according to the magnetic field to be measured.
4. Zero correction — Place the probe in a zero-field area and adjust the ZERO potentiometer until the reading is zero.
5. Calibrate if needed — Put the probe in a standard magnetic field and adjust CALIBRATION until the reading matches the standard value. Usually required only after replacing the probe.
6. Measure — Contact the magnetic steel surface with the Hall chip side of the probe for readings closer to the actual value; the display shows the field strength and polarity in mT.
7. Power off — Turn off the power and store the probe after use.
